The Centauri Star Cruisers is a high-speed military attack vessel used primarily for offensive attacks and carrier/fleet escort. They are armed with a multitude of weapons, ranging everything from particle weapons, missiles, and Ion weapons. Though Centauri Star Cruisers are not capable of carrying a contingent of fighter aircraft like other ships of her class, their heavy weapons make them perfectly suited for their primary role as an attack/escort vessel for the larger Battlecruisers (carriers). Star Cruisers do have a small landing bay, which rarely hold anything more than a single shuttle.

A Centauri Star Cruiser is approximately 338 meters [+/- 20] in length at it's longest point. It is powered by some form of matter/anti-matter reactor, has two ion drive engines which are used in conjunction with a gravimetric drive system. The Centauri Star Cruisers also have TRUE artificial gravity, tractor beam technology and are believed to possess some type of energy radiation shields. At present, Centauri Star Cruisers are the largest contingent of war vessels the Centauri fleet.
